1.Where do you write from?
In my computer room at home, on my desktop.

2.When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
When I was six.

3.How long does it take you to write a book?
It depends. It takes me three months to a year. I would like to be one of those writers who can churn out a book in a month, but I have a full-time job at the moment, and I do a lot of research for my books which takes time.

4.Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
I grew up in a family who dealt with the paranormal world. When my parents were married they were the directors of the UFO Investigator’s League. They also investigated hauntings and Bigfoot sightings in addition to extraterrestrial cases. So my ideas and information come from how I grew up, my experiences, and my colorful imagination.

5.When did you write your first book and how old were you?
I started writing my first book when I was fourteen, but I completed my first novel six years ago.

6.What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I like to read, watch my favorite TV shows, go out to eat, take walks, go to antique stores, and hike in the woods.

7.What Genre do you write?
Paranormal/Fantasy

8.How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I’ve written six books. Five are published. My favorite one I wrote is my most recent one—Ameerah.

9.Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
I do hear from readers. They say wonderful things like they felt like they were actually there in the scene and wants me to continue writing more on my trilogy and Ameerah. They also told me Ameerah and my Beyond the Eyes trilogy would make a great movie.

10.As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
A writer, an actress or an archeologist.

11.Tell us about your current project.
Legend of Deceit. I’ve never written anything like this before because it has fantasy elements in it such as a king, queen, fairies, a baby dragon and so forth. However, it’s also intertwine with the paranormal world like shifters and spirits. The main character Alaris is compelled at the age of twelve to believe she’s Haven Evergreen. She’s taken from a realm called Atheon and placed here on earth with a couple—the Evergreens. Sort of like what happens to channelings. Anyway, one night she comes home and tragedy strikes her family. She discovers her life has been a lie and she’s in danger. She ends up back in Atheon and the truth unfolds about why her mom went to great lengths to protect her and there’s a power in Alaris that some people seek and can destroy her.

12.How do you handle writers block?
I step away from my story and read or watch something in the same genre I’m writing in.

13.What one subject is TABOO in your writing?
In Ameerah . . . she discovers and finally admits to herself she’s a lesbian. I don’t think that’s taboo in our current world, but in 1925 when Ameerah was 18 it was.

14.If there was one book you wish you'd written, which would it be?
Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I love the story. Ameerah’s tale is like Interview with the Vampire in the sense that she’s been a dark spirit possessing soulless humans since her heinous murder in the insane asylum in 1925. She tells her story to her dark spirit bestie Derek who is straddling the line between heaven and hell. Like Louis, Ameerah takes the reader on a journey throughout her life to present day. It’s pretty cool. 

15.What is your biggest pet peeve?
Ooh, that’s a hard one to answer. I have quite a few. LOL Snobby, arrogant people.

16.Is there one current tv show that is a "can't miss" for you?
Yup. The Originals. Love that show!

17.Who was your greatest influence?
Life.

18.How do you choose your book covers?
I have an idea in my head, find the pictures that fit that idea, and tell my cover artist about it.

19.Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
I drink a couple of shots of brandy every night. ;)

20.How would a reader find you online? IE: Website, Facebook, Twitter
