This is book 10 in the Novans world and wow what a wonderful story.
Drols is one of the builders and although he knows it's wrong he accepts a request from another Novan to do something that is against the rules. However what he gets in return just may be worth the trouble.
Zoe knows why she is on Kuria but she hasn't been able yet to give herself to a breeder. She wants more and that means not just an alien lover but a man, home, and she has dreams.
Things could crumble for this couple unless they learn the true meaning of bartering without allowing it to come between them.
I would say all of the books in this series are stand-alone but I'd suggest grabbing them all and getting to know the world.
